Alexandra Fileccia is a multimedia journalist in the Greater New York Area. She has a passion for long form journalism in both print and radio broadcast, and has experience in social media marketing, graphic design and film. Alexandra is interested in music, feminism, culture, veganism, LGBTQIA issues and health, and hopes to incorporate these passions into her journalistic media.

For her most recent project, she is co-directing/co-producing a documentary about dam removal in New England. She updates a food blog in her spare time.

She studied journalism, publishing and environmental studies at Emerson College in Boston, MA. She received her B.S. in journalism in May of 2015. During her time at Emerson, she was a reporter for WERS 88.9 FM, the reviews editor for Five Cent Sound magazine and the health editor for Atlas magazine. She also interned at SCENE magazine in Boston’s historic North End where she wrote about food for two print issues.

Alexandra is originally from Long Island, NY. This blog is a collection of Alexandra’s work that she started during her college years and continues to update with her recent clips.
